Craig Daugherty is the founder of Fire Edge Solutions, he has been involved in wildland firefighting for over thirty years. He got the bug to be a firefighter at a young age working as a volunteer alongside his father. He fought fires in the summer for the US Forest Service, putting himself through college at Texas A&M University, earning a degree in Forestry. Over his professional career he worked for the U.S. Forest Service, Idaho Department of Lands, New Mexico State Forestry Division and San Juan County Fire Department,  retiring as the Fire Chief in December of 2019. Since 2002 he has been involved with National Incident Management Teams, serving on a Type 1 team since  2006, and currently qualified as a Type 1 Operations Section Chief. During the years of traveling around the country he has seen many communities threatened or impacted by wildfire. He now uses that knowledge to prepare landowners and communities to be more prepared and resilient to incidents. He'll bring his expertise in wildland operations, training, incident management,  property protection and community relations to your property, subdivision or community so you are better prepared. As Fire Chief he had the unfortunate challenge of dealing with a school shooting in his community. With a daughter in the school, it had a profound impact on him and gave him a passion to help other communities be prepared to respond and plan for active shooter events.
